Cidaris blakei is a species of sea urchins of the Family Cidaridae. Their armour is covered with spines. Cidaris blakei was first scientifically described in 1878 by Alexander Emanuel Agassiz.
It is easily recognized thanks to its extended fan-like spines.
It can be found in deep waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
