Cibola is a census-designated place (CDP) in La Paz County, Arizona, United States. The population was 172 at the 2000 census. It is named for the famed city of gold of the same name.
Cibola is located at 33°18′59″N 114°39′54″W / 33.31639°N 114.66500°W (33.3164215, -114.6649570).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 18.0 square miles (47 km2), all of it land.
This area has a large amount of sunshine year round due to its stable descending air and high pressure. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Cibola has a mild desert climate, abbreviated "Bwh" on climate maps.
