The Chrysomyinae are a subfamily of Calliphoridae, or blow flies. According to Keys of the Genera and Species of Blow Flies (Diptera: Calliphoridae) of America North of Mexico by Terry Whitworth, the distinguishing characteristic of this subfamily is a setose stem vein (Whitworth, 709). This subfamily includes the genera Chloroprocta, Cochliomyia, Chrysomya, Campsomyiops, Phormia, , Protophormia, and Trypocalliphora.
