Chris Lent (born March 15, 1988) is an American drummer and keyboardist, formerly a member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last, and of the experimental metal band I Set My Friends on Fire.
Lent acquired his GED at 16 so he could begin living, writing, and touring with Georgia band, By Far the Least.By Far the least was being produced by Travis Richter of From First to Last. By Far the Least became Dead Reckless, a southern rock band, that was produced by Matt Good and Travis Richter on several songs.Dead Reckless toured the Dead by Dawn 2 tour with From First to Last, He is Legend, Haste the Day, and Chiodos. Dead Reckless played toured around the southeast US mainly and small stints into Texas. Dead Reckless played a show at the Mellow Mushroom in Valdosta, Georgia with Georgia's own Nor Am I this is where Lent met Matt Manning while drinking pitchers of Jack and Coke. Manning became the new lead singer of Dead Reckless shortly after. The band disbanded in the spring of 2006 while on tour in Tennessee. Lent and Manning pulled the Irish drinking band Captain and Blackbeer together for a demo release. Lent then moved to Macon, Georgia to start a band with Nor Am i guitarist Ryan Glisson but after two months moved to orlando to record and write with Travis Richter under the band RIEN which featured Matt Manning handling bass duties. There was an EP recorded in late 2006.
Lent was the keyboard player for From First to Last. He is seen in the video for Worlds Away, and the live performance on Jimmy Kimmel for Two as One. Lent performed at Download Festival, Rock Am Ring, Pinkpop, Warped Tour, KISS headliner, among other tours and festivals with the band. He left the band in 2009 to focus on drumming, he was featured in the band self-titled album.
