Chocolate Tumor Hormone Parade is the forty-second album by Omar Rodríguez-López as a solo artist, to be released on February 10, 2017. It is his third live album and sixteenth release in the album series initiated by Ipecac Recordings, the fourth of the 2017 series.
The album is culled from live recordings made during the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group concerts in 2012. ORLG line-up at the time consisted of Rodríguez-López, Juan Alderete and Deantoni Parks, with Teri Gender Bender appearing as a guest vocalist on three songs. However, on the album Alderete's bass parts are replaced by new parts allegedly recorded by Rodríguez-López himself in studio; most of the vocals also appear to be overdubbed.
All songs were released in the 2012 album trilogy of Un Corazón de Nadie, Saber, Querer, Osar y Callar and Octopus Kool Aid. The original song titles aren't used; tracklist instead reads as the album title divided into ten parts.
"ate" (first part of "Mono") was uploaded in advance as the album's single.
All music composed by Omar Rodríguez-López.
Notes
The first two tracks form a single composition of 9:40, tracks 3-4 form a 7:00 song, and tracks 8-9 form a single 7:55 length composition.
