Child Welfare Board

The Child Welfare Board of New York was established on July 1, 1915. There is one board for each of New York's counties.

New York City has one 9 member board that oversees all 5 counties that comprise the city. Appointments are made by the Mayor of New York City for a term of eight years. There is no compensation for the position.
