Cheryl Clark Lant (born January 30, 1944) was the eleventh general president of the Primary organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 2005 to 2010.
Born in Provo, Utah to Charles Verl Clark and Vivian Keller, Lant studied early childhood development at Brigham Young University and married John Glen Lant Jr. in the Salt Lake Temple on September 17, 1963. The Lants are the parents of nine children and together they founded a large preschool and developed a phonics-based beginning reading program.
On April 2, 2005, Lant was called by LDS Church president Gordon B. Hinckley to succeed Coleen K. Menlove as general president of the church's organization for children. Lant chose Margaret S. Lifferth and Vicki F. Matsumori as her counselors. She was released at the church's April 2010 general conference and succeeded by Rosemary M. Wixom.
