Cheb–Hranice v Čechách railway is the number 148 railway of the Czech Republic, which is partially under electricity with 25 kV 50 Hz AC. It is operated by Czech Railways and mainly Czech made ČD Class 814 and ČD Class 810 locomotives are on the line.

It was built in 1865 by Bavarian Railways. Main railway station of current Cheb was opened in the same year. The railway station was dismissed by the heavy bombing at the end of World War II. There was built an interim one, which was replaced by the current one in 1962.

Part running from Asch and Roßbach (Hranice v Čechách) was built from 1884 to 1885. It was opened on 26 September 1885. It gave a huge perspective to the improvement of Hranice’s textile manufacturing. Railway station of Asch belonged to the Bavarian Railways, so locally it was called Bavarian railway station. Second station in the city was built by Imperial Royal Privileged Austrian State Railway Company. Up to 2002 there was a third, suburban railway station at Aš as well. There stands just a can pitch today. Bavarian station was dismissed in 1968 and it was replaced by a new one in 1969. It is the main railway station of the town. Aš-město (the second station of the city) was renovated in 2008.

Railway stats from the main railway station of Cheb and runs through Františkovy Lázně Aquaforum, Františkovy Lázně pályaudvar, Vojtanov és Hazlov before arriving to , where there are Aš – hlavní nádraží (Aš railway station), and Aš-město (Aš city) stations.
