Charles D. Lemmond, Jr. (January 17, 1929 – May 30, 2012) was a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate. He represented the 20th District from 1985 to 2006.
Although a Republican, Lemmond championed many Liberal causes such as funding youth programs and assistance for the retired and elderly.
Lemmond died on May 30, 2012 at a hospice in Wilkes-Barre. On the occasion of his death, Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati said Lemmond "was highly respected by his colleagues here in the Senate for his honesty, fairness and dedication to doing the right thing for the people of Pennsylvania." Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi said, "Charlie was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, a man who always wore an honest smile. He loved the people of the 20th District, and he served them with integrity. His work to ensure that Pennsylvania newborns are screened for hearing loss is a legacy for which he will always be remembered."
