Chain Bridge Bank, National Association (N.A.) is a nationally chartered bank organized under the laws of the United States. The Bank is headquartered in McLean, Virginia and serves businesses, individuals, professional firms, trade associations, medical practices, political committees and nonprofit organizations throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and around the country. The Bank reported $483.5 million in assets as of 2016. The Washington Business Journal described it as "the community bank of choice for conservative political campaigns."
Chain Bridge was founded in 2007 by Peter Fitzgerald, who previously served in the United States Senate as an Illinois Republican. Fitzgerald is the son of Gerald Fitzgerald, who was chairman of Chicago's Suburban Bancorp which was sold to Bank of Montreal in 1994 for $246 million. The Fitzgerald extended family has managed or founded around 57 community banks since the 1940s.
