Centex Corporation was a home builder founded and headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The company was acquired by rival Pulte Homes in 2009 for 1.6 billion dollars. Centex Homes were the main contractors of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World, Orlando Florida USA. They also built Texas Stadium. The first building they erected was a cement plant.
The builder was bought put by Pulte in 2009 and is now part of a larger company called the Pulte Group. The larger company consists of Pulte Homes, Centex Homes, Del Webb Homes, and DiVosta Luxury Communities.
