The Caterpillar C32 is an V12 diesel internal combustion engine made by Caterpillar. The engine is 32.1 liters in displacement (1959 cubic inches). The cylinder size is 5.71 x 6.38 bore/stroke. Caterpillar C32 is the most power-dense high-speed diesel engine of Caterpillar. The engine can produce 600-1800 horsepower at 2300 RPM. The peak torque occurs at an engine speed of 1500 RPM. The engine weighs over three tonnes at 6780 pounds. The Cat C32 is often used in locomotives and yacht-class ships.
