Cambridge Crown Court is a Crown Court in Cambridge, England. The Resident Judge since summer 2009 is His Honour Judge Gareth Hawkesworth. His Honour Judge Jonathan Haworth is Diversity and community relations judge for the court, and was formerly Resident Judge.
The building sits on East Road, Cambridge and opened in June 2004. It was designed by Austin-Smith:Lord and contains three courts. It was financed via a Private Finance Initiative, with Modern Courts (East Anglia) Limited building the premises and managing them for 25 years. It is in the first tier of the courts system. The court was previously held in the Cambridge Guildhall.
The court gained the power to try murder cases in 2005.
