Cambria Township is a civil township of Hillsdale County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,546 at the 2000 census.
Cambria Township was established in 1841. It was named for Cambria, New York.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.2 square miles (94 km2), of which 34.9 square miles (90 km2) is land and 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2) (3.54%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,546 people, 986 households, and 725 families residing in the township. The population density was 73.0 per square mile (28.2/km²). There were 1,264 housing units at an average density of 36.2 per square mile (14.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.05% White, 0.43% African American, 0.39% Native American, 0.59% Asian, 0.43% from other races, and 1.10% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.63% of the population.
There were 986 households out of which 32.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.97.
