"Calling Your Name" is a 1996 song recorded by Swedish musician known under the pseudonym of E-Type.
The single are produced by E-Type and Kristian Lundin, and is taken from his second album, The Explorer. It was a hit in several countries, particularly in Sweden where it reached number 4. It features backing vocals by Nana Hedin and Jessica Folcker.
In the UK, "Calling Your Name" was the first single release reaching the top ten in the Club charts. And in the US, the video of the song aired on MTV and the track peaked at No. 17 on the US Dance Club Play chart. The music video featured Swedish actor Per Oscarsson, who plays a priest.
In 2011 Swedish singer Mikael Wiehe performed a cover of "Calling Your Name", translated to Swedish as "Jag ropar ditt namn" in the Swedish reality television show "Så mycket bättre".
