The Burnsville Transit Station is a transit facility located in the downtown vicinity of Burnsville, Minnesota, and is the flagship station of the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority. It is a major park and ride location, with approximately 1200 parking spaces. It is also a major route transfer hub for the south of the river suburbs. The station also features indoor climate-controlled waiting, pay phones, restrooms, drinking fountains, vending machines, bus pass sales, newspaper sales and transit information. Due to recently high levels of park and ride demand, MVTA has also started service from the Heart of the City park and ride, only 3 blocks away. It will also serve the planned METRO Orange Line bus rapid transit service, although the transit center is located about 2/3 of a mile (1 km) away from I-35W where the line will run.
