The Bullerwell Lecture is an annual award from the British Geophysical Association (BGA) bestowed on an individual for significant contribution to the field of geophysics. Scientists of any nationality but working in an academic institution in the United Kingdom qualify for the award. The award is named in honour of William Bullerwell.
Notable recipients include Dan McKenzie in 1982, Bob White in 1992, Kathryn Whaler in 1993, and James Jackson in 2000. Recent recipients include Derek Keir in 2013 and Catherine Rychert in 2014, both from the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, University of Southampton. The most recent recipient, in 2015, is Tim Wright from the University of Leeds.
