Frank Manning "Bruiser" Kinard Sr. (October 23, 1914 – September 7, 1985) was a professional American football player for the Brooklyn Dodgers/Tigers of the National Football League (NFL) and the New York Yankees of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. He played college football at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951.
Bruiser lettered for the Ole Miss Rebels from 1935 to 1937 and served as co-captain of the 1937 Ole Miss squad. While playing tackle, the Rebels compiled a record of 18–13–3 including a 9–3 record in 1936 which featured the school's first appearance in a bowl game, a 20–19 loss to Catholic University in the 1936 Orange Bowl. He was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection by the Associated Press and United Press in 1936 and 1937. Kinard was the school's first All-American football player, receiving first-team honors in 1936 by the All-America Board and International News Service (INS), and in 1937 by the UPI, INS, Newspaper Enterprise Association, and The Sporting News.
