Broca's region describes a contemporary reconceptualization of "Broca's area" as an anatomical subdivision of the human brain that spans a larger portion of the left hemisphere's inferior frontal gyrus (IFG). In addition to the two gyral regions classically considered to constitute Broca's area (pars triangularis and pars opercularis), Broca's region includes pars orbitalis, the anterior portion of the left IFG.
