Bridget Louise Christie (born 1971) is an English stand-up comedian, actor and writer.

Christie grew up in Gloucester, England, the youngest of nine siblings born to Irish parents. She attended St Peter's Roman Catholic High School in Gloucester.

In 1994 she won a three-year scholarship to study Drama at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in Wandsworth, London. She appeared in various theatre productions and adverts and in 2004 she began her stand-up career.

In 1994 Christie won a scholarship to study acting at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. She began her stand-up career in 2004.

She was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2005), won the inaugural Funny Women Best Show Fringe Award for her show The Court of King Charles II (2007) and was nominated for the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act (2009).

In 2013 Christie won the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show with her show A BIC FOR HER.

The show also won the 2014 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best Comedy, the 2014 Chortle Award for Best Show and a 2014 Hospital 100 Club Award for Performance and Theatre and became the top selling comedy show at Soho Theatre ever.

Her debut BBC Radio 4 series, Bridget Christie Minds the Gap, was broadcast in April 2013. It won Best Radio at the 2014 Chortle Awards and a prestigious 2014 Rose D’Or International Broadcasting Award for Best Radio Comedy. It was also nominated for a Radio Academy Award 2014. A second series was broadcast in January 2015 and won the 2015 Chortle Award for Best Radio Programme.

Her 2014 tour, a double bill of A Bic for Her and an Ungrateful Woman, won the 2015 Chortle Award for Best Tour.

She was also nominated for a 2014 British Comedy Award for Best Female TV comic for her performance on Have I Got News For You.

Her debut book, A BOOK FOR HER was published by Century Random House in hardback in July 2015 to universal critical acclaim.

It was one of the Top 100 Books for Christmas in The Telegraph and Top Ten Comedy Books in The List and Book of the Day in The Observer. It was also nominated for a 2016 Chortle Award for Best Book.

The paperback was released in February 2016 and the Spanish version was launched in Barcelona in March 2017.
