Brian S. King is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Utah House of Representatives representing District 28 since January 1, 2009.
King earned his BS from the University of Utah and his JD from its S.J. Quinney College of Law. King and his wife Alison, raised their four daughters in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the district which he represents. King works as a self-employed lawyer, providing legal services in the Greater Salt Lake area.
During the 2016 Legislative Session, Representative King served on the Executive Appropriations Committee, the Executive Offices and Criminal Justice Appropriations Subcommittee, the House Judiciary Committee, the House Revenue and Taxation Committee, and the House Rules Committee. He also served as the House Minority Leader.
King passed two of the three bills he introduced, giving him a 66.7% passage rate. He also floor sponsored SB0187S01Reclassification of Misdemeanors.
