Brian B. Boutwell is an American criminologist and associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also holds a secondary appointment as an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology there. He has conducted research on the intelligence of psychopaths, finding that contrary to popular belief, they are usually less intelligent than non-psychopathic individuals.
