Bowmans Rail is an Australian railway operator hauling freight in South Australia.
Established in 2003 as Bowmans Internodal by hay processor and exporter Balco Australia and logistics operator Patrick Corporation at Bowmans, South Australia, in 2012 Toll Holdings and Alliance Grain Traders-owned Australia Milling Group (AMG) bought into the joint venture. The company adopted their current name in 2016, when they transported over 36,000 containers annually.
The company operates freight services from Bowmans, South Australia and Port Pirie to Port Adelaide; conveying lead, hay, grain, pulses, seed, wine and pork bellies, as well as the importation of fish bait. Since 2016 the company has transported mineral sands for Cristal Mining between Broken Hill and Port Adelaide, and in 2017 intended to commence an Adelaide to Leigh Creek intermodal service for the mining and petroleum industries.
Rolling stock for these services has been leased from Southern Shorthaul Railroad, Patrick Portlink, Pacific National and Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia.
