"Boomerang" is a song by JoJo Siwa, an American dancer and singer, a former Dance Moms cast member. It was released as a digital single on May 06, 2016.
It is an upbeat song that deals with the issue of cyberbullying. The song's message is to not listen to haters who write evil comments to you on the Internet and thus achieve a triumph over online bullies.
On February 24, 2017, the single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The music video directed by Monsee Wood was released on May 17, 2016. By mid-March 2017 the music video had been viewed on YouTube more than 200 million times. On May 17, 2017, the one year anniversary of the "Boomerang" video JoJo released her new song "Hold the Drama". As of September 2017, the music video has been viewed over 340 million times on YouTube.
