Robert J. Mattos (September 28, 1941 – March 14, 2010) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at California State University, Sacramento from 1978 to 1992, compiling a record of 84–73–2. Prior to coaching at Sacramento State, Mattos was the head football coach at in . Mattos died of brain cancer March 14, 2010, at his home in Rancho Murieta, California.
