The Blue Line or Line 1 is one of the two lines of Chennai Metro, Phase 1 Project. The line stretches from Chennai International Airport to Washermanpet with further extension to Wimco Nagar. The line consist of 25 Stations where 17 stations belong to phase 1 and the rest 8 stations belong to the extension. Out of the 17 stations 11 stations are underground and 6 are elevated.
