Blackwell Meadows is a sports stadium in the town of Darlington, County Durham. It is operated by Darlington Rugby Football Club Limited, a company wholly owned by Darlington Rugby Football Club. It is located towards the edge of the West End of Darlington, beside the River Tees. The ground is on Grange Road, a short walk from the city's central bus and railway station.
Originally the home ground of Darlington RFC and built in 1993 the club, since late 2016 Darlington F.C. have started to play at the stadium after playing at Bishop Auckland F.C. since the club was reformed. The record attendance at the ground was set in 2016, when Darlington F.C. hosted a match against F.C. Halifax Town in front of 3,000 spectators.
Darlington Rugby Football Club into their Black Meadow stadium, having relocated from Lingfield Lane in 1952, moving to their £1.7 million development after selling their previous location of McMullen Road in the town for retail development.
In July 2014 plans where put forward to the local council for Darlington 1883 football club to move back to the Darlington area at Blackwell Meadows. Since this there has been a number of developments made to this stadium in order to get it to FA standards. This work included a building of a new 250 seated stand as well as updating changing and corporate facilities.
Darlington F.C. played their first ever tie at Blackwell Madows on 26 December 2016. The match played saw a record crowd of 3,000 against FC Halifax Town in a National League North tie.
