Black Rock is a town in Lawrence County, Arkansas, United States, along the Black River. The population was 717 at the 2000 census.

Black Rock is located at 36°6′28″N 91°5′56″W / 36.10778°N 91.09889°W / 36.10778; -91.09889 (36.107794, -91.098913).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.4 square miles (8.8 km2), of which, 3.3 square miles (8.5 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) of it (4.37%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 717 people, 284 households, and 199 families residing in the city. The population density was 218.6 people per square mile (84.4/km²). There were 334 housing units at an average density of 101.8 per square mile (39.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.02% White, 0.14% Native American, and 0.84% from two or more races. 0.28% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 284 households out of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 28.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
