4,4'-Biphenol is an organic compound which is a phenolic derivative of biphenyl. 4,4'-Biphenol is harmful in contact with skin, and irritating to the eyes and respiratory system. It is estrogenic and cytotoxic. Upon decomposition, it can form harmful gases like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. It should not be stored with strong oxidizing agents.
