Binita Baral, (Nepali: बिनिता बराल; born: November 25, 1985) is a Nepalese actress, activist, and a writer. She made her movie debut on the blockbuster Chapali Height. Since then she has worked on three other Nepalese movies namely, Fullstop, Superhit, Umanga. Binita has performed in numerous dramas, music videos, and ads. Chapali Height broke all the domestic records of all time Nepalese movies and introduced new trend against mainstream movies. Binita started her acting career from theater acting. Her drama performance in "In the Red and Brown Water" as Mira, a women suffering domestic violence, attracted a lot of media attention and support from many national and international organizations working for women empowerment. She is one of the most commercially successful actor of Nepalese Film Industry.
In July 2016, she released her first book Juino (Novel) (Nepali: जुइनो) – a fictional love story drama between a local teacher and an agriculture activist. In an interview after its release, She said that she had started writing up her personal experience to motivate youths for the betterment of society and finally it turned out into a masterpiece in Nepali writings.
Binita was born in Chitwan, Nepal in October 8, 1989. Her father, Bamdev Baral, was a worker in coke factory and her mother, Bhawana Baral, was housewife. Her primary interests were in dancing and acting. She completed her high school from a government school nearby her parent's home. She appeared in various dance competitions during her high school, and was famous in her hometown. After completion of her high school, she came to the capital city Kathmandu seeking more opportunities in the film industry. While doing her college degree majoring in Kaththak dance and culture, she simultaneously started working in the Actor's Studio. Following few appearances in television commercials, she started to appear in music videos and eventually in big screen at the age of 22.

Juino (Novel) {language: Nepali (नेपाली )}: Juino (जुइनो) is a love story between a teacher (Ashok) and an agriculture activist (Katha). The novel starts with a random acquaintance of Ashok with a beautiful yet elusive lady (Katha) in a foggy morning in Mid-January. Ashok is an English teacher in a school, where Katha wants to establish an agriculture lab. It depicts what it takes for a lady to establish and run a lab in remote area. The story revolves around how Ashok helped her out despite their differences yet the love they share.
