Bhaswar Chattopadhyay or Bhaswar Chatterjee is a Bengali film and television actor.

Chattopadhyay passed Madhyamik examination from South Point School and then he passed Higher Secondary examination from Andrews High School. After that he studied B.Sc in Zoology ind Asutosh College, as a graduating student of the University of Calcutta. After graduation, he did marketing n sales management from bharatiya vidya bhavan.His first job was with glaxo pharmaceuticals in 1996.His first movie was The Legend of Bhagat Singh (based on the true story of Shaheed Bhagat Singh). He has acted in 47 bengali daily soaps and holds the record of 10 daily soaps which completed more than 1000 episodes.Major hit soaps are Maa,Janmabhumi,Sonar horin,Agnipariksha,Istikutum,Ek akasher niche,Khela,Ichhenodi,Patolkumar gaanwala etc.He holds the record of acting with maximum no of heroines on tv and has been a launchpad to many a successful heroines of today like sohini sarkar,payel dey,priyanka sarkar. He was a member of censor board of film certification for 4yrs.In 2014, he married nabamita chatterjee,grand daughter of mahanayak uttam kumar.
