Bhai Ram Singh MVO was one of pre-partition Punjab's foremost architects, dominating the scene for nearly 2 decades. Amongst his works is the Durbar Hall, Osborne House; Lahore Museum and Governor's House in Simla.
He was a student at the Mayo School of Arts (now National College of Arts), in Lahore. Later, he also served as its principal from 1903 to 1913, as well as designing its building.
Amongst Bhai Ram Singh's most famous works are: the Lahore Museum, the Mayo School of Arts, Aitchison College and Punjab University, all in Lahore. In Simla, the Governor’s House and in Lyallpur (now Faisalabad), the College of Agriculture. He also worked with John Lockwood Kipling to design the Durbar room in Osborne House (Queen Victoria's summer home on the Isle of Wight).
