Beverley Turner (born 21 October 1973 in Prestwich, Lancashire) is a British television and radio presenter.
She is wife of double Olympic Gold medallist rower James Cracknell with whom she has a son, Croyde, born in October 2003, and two daughters, Kiki, born in March 2009 and Trixie, born April 2011. She has a first class degree in English Literature and Language from the University of Manchester. She is the sister of Olympic Swimmer Adrian Turner and Executive Producer of The Apprentice, Cal Turner.
She hosts a weekly talk radio, current affairs show at Saturday 6pm on the UK's most successful commercial radio station, LBC. In one year, she trebled the audience size for this slot, attracting more female listeners than ever before and increasing those from an ABC1 demographic. Her trademark, common-sense approach with a humorous touch endears her to new listeners.
Previously, she worked for BBC Radio Five Live, presenting their Bump Club series, following a group of pregnant women through their journey to motherhood. Previously, she spent three years as one of only two female presenters for UK ITV's Formula One coverage and also presented coverage of the Tour de France. She spent another three seasons presenting coverage of US National Basketball Association games in the UK. In 2002, she began presenting entertainment sections for Granada's This Morning and, in 2003, travel reporting for the Travel Channel.
From 2004, she spent two years co-presenting a Saturday morning radio programme on BBC Radio Five Live with Eamonn Holmes and also presented sixty-four episodes of Taste, a daily food programme on Sky3. Her other jobs include modelling – where she stands at five-foot ten inches – and journalism, where she writes for newspapers such as the Independent, the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail.
