Best Orchestral Performance
The Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance has been awarded since 1959. There have been several minor changes to the name of the award over this time:
Years reflect the year in which the Grammy Awards were presented, for works released in the previous year.
According to the official Final Nominations List issued by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS), the Grammy is awarded to the conductor and to the orchestra. However, the Past Winners List on the official NARAS site (http://www.grammy.com) lists the conductor, the engineer and producer as winners.
