Herbert "Bert" Young (4 September 1899 – 1976) was an English professional football outside left who made over 260 appearances in the Football League.

Young began his career at Division One side Everton, before dropping down to the Division Three South to sign for Aberdare Athletic in 1923. He made 68 appearances and scored five goals for departing in February 1925.

Young joined Division Three South strugglers Brentford in February 1925. He made 11 appearances in what remained of the 1924–25 season, before adding another 23 appearances and two goals the following year as the Bees stumbled to an 18th-place finish. He departed at the end of the 1925–26 season.

Young signed for Division Three South side Bristol Rovers in 1930. In two years with the club, he made 75 appearances and scored 11 goals.

Young rounded out his career with a spell at Division Three South side Swindon Town. In a turgid 1932–33 season, in which the Robins finished bottom of the Football League, he made 14 appearances and scored two goals.
