Benedikt Rúnar Guðmundsson is an Icelandic professional basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of KR women's team.

Benedikt has been named Coach of the Year of the men's Úrvalsdeild twice: in the 2006–07 season and in the 2008–09 season, when he coached KR. In both the two seasons, KR also won the Icelandic championship.
