Bayo Olupohunda is a Nigerian journalist, author, and columnist. He was nominated for the CNN/MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year Award in 2014.
Olupohunda was born in Okitipupa in Ondo State of Nigeria. He worked for many years as an educator at Whitesands School, Lagos, Nigeria. He also works as the Nigerian editor for Naij online newspaper.
In 2014, Olupohunda was nominated for the CNN/Multichoice African Journalist of the Year Award. The event held in Tanzania.
In November 2017, Olupohunda announced the publication of first book, a compilation of essays he wrote as a columnist for the Punch Newspaper in Nigeria. It is titled Are You Not a Nigerian? The book contains essays about Nigeria's attempt at democratic governance after years of a military government.
