Batepá is a small village on São Tomé Island in São Tomé and Príncipe. Its etymology of the settlement is of Angolan origin. Nearby places include Trindade in the east, Piedade to the southeast and Monte Café, to the west.

It was the site of the Batepá massacre which happened on 3 February 1953, it marked the rise of the nationalist sentiment in Portuguese São Tomé and Príncipe. Today a holiday is celebrated every year on February 3 in memory of the victims.
