Batad is a fifth class municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 21,298 people.
In 1950, the barrio of Zarragoza was transferred to the town of Balasan.
Batad is 122 kilometres (76 mi) north from the provincial capital, Iloilo City, and 65 kilometres (40 mi) from Roxas City.
Batad is politically subdivided into 24 barangays.
