Basselinia is a genus of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. The entire genus is endemic to the Island of New Caledonia in the Pacific.. In some (but not all) molecular phylogenetic analyses, Hedyscepe from Lord Howe Island is nested in Basselinia.
