Basia on Broadway is a live album by Polish-born singer Basia. It was released on October 31, 1995, by Sony Music and consists of 16 songs recorded at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York City on November 24 & 25, 1994. Of these four were originally recorded for her 1986 debut album, Time and Tide ("From Now On", "New Day for You", "Promises", and "Time and Tide"), with seven others from her 1990 release London Warsaw New York ("Baby You're Mine", "Brave New Hope", "Copernicus", "Cruising for Bruising", "Reward", "Take Him Back, Rachel", and "Until You Come Back to Me") ), and three from for her 1994 album The Sweetest Illusion ("Drunk on Love", "Third Time Lucky", "Yearning"). "Half a Minute" originates from the Matt Bianco album Whose Side Are You On? "Dzien Sie Budzi", which Basia sang in her native Polish, is the album's only new song.
In his review of Basia on Broadway music critic William Cooper stated that it is "a wildly entertaining record of the artist's energetic live presence" and "also a solid overview of her best-known work". He also noted that "Basia herself is in fine voice throughout, on both the up-tempo material and ballads" and that "despite the lack of new material, [it] is a must for Basia fans, and is a nice introduction of her work to the casual listener".
