Barbara Boyce is a British Labour politician who has been Lord Mayor of York since 2017 and has been a member of City of York Council since 2009. Boyce, who was widowed in 1994, asked a friend to take the role of Lady Mayoress and along with the Sheriff Gillian Brian and the Sheriff's Lady they formed the first all-female civic party in the 800-year recorded history of the City of York Council.
