Bangor Base is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kitsap County, Washington, within U.S. Naval Base Kitsap on the Kitsap Peninsula. Its population was 6,054 at the 2010 census.
Bangor is located at 47°43′15″N 122°42′47″W / 47.72083°N 122.71306°W, on Hood Canal northwest of Silverdale.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 28.6 km² (11.0 mi²), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 7,253 people, 1,282 households, and 1,275 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 657.1/mi² (253.7/km²). There were 1,316 housing units at an average density of 46.0/km² (119.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 76.73% White, 8.05% African American, 1.28% Native American, 4.69% Asian, 0.79% Pacific Islander, 3.92% from other races, and 4.55% from two or more races.
