Bangaru Babu (English: Golden Boy) is a 1973 Telugu, Romance film, produced and directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad on his Jagapathi Art Pictures banner. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vanisri in the lead roles and music composed by K. V. Mahadevan.
Buchi Babu (Akkineni Nageswara Ra) is a Railway Station Master in a village. He is a simple man respected and loved by all. Vani (Vanisri) is a budding actress who gains fortune and fame in a short time. When her evil manager (Nagabhushanam) who is also her own uncle forces her to marry him for her wealth, Vani runs away and lands at Buchi Babu's house. He helps her out by giving shelter for one night and the next day, people assume that it is Buchi Babu's wife.
Music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. Lyrics were written by Acharya Aatreya. The song Chengavi Rangu Cheera is a blockbuster. Music released on EMI Columbia Audio Company.
