Bakori is a local government area in Katsina State, Nigeria. It was created on 15 May 1989 out of land previously incorporated as part of Funtua.
The current District Head of Bakori is Alh. Idris Suleiman Idris, Who assumed as the Makaman Katsina V, District Head of Bakori on 25 March 2007. Succeeding his father Late. Alh. Suleiman Idris Nadabo who dead after a brief illness in 2007.
It has an area of 679 km² and a population of 641,576 as of the 2006 census. Moreover, it shares border with Funtua by the west and is a suburb of Funtua. Federal Government Girls College is located at Bakori.
