Backgammon is a 2015 psychological drama/indie thriller directed by Francisco Orvañanos.

When Lucian and his girlfriend Elizabeth arrive at their friend Andrew's isolated mansion to spend the weekend, they discover Andrew's sister, Miranda, and her artist boyfriend, Gerald, are already there, quickly upsetting everyone with their antics. Andrew and Elizabeth retire for the night and Gerald talks Lucian into an aggressive session of alcohol-fueled poker, during which he loses all of his possessions to Lucian. After a violent argument, Miranda throws Gerald out and talks late into the night with Lucian. Falling asleep in the same bed, they awaken the next day to find they are alone. Though torn between his devotion to Elizabeth and his attraction to Miranda, Lucian decides to stay.

As their mutual attraction grows, so does their unease over Gerald's whereabouts. Although Miranda says that he's gone for good, Lucian can't ignore the open doors and altered paintings that hint at Gerald's lingering presence.

The film is based on the novella Bloody Baudelaire by R.B. Russell. The screenplay was written by Todd Niemi, R.B. Russell and Francisco Orvañanos, who also co-produced the film with Chris Moore.

The film stars Brittany Allen and Noah Silver. Also appearing in the film are Alex Beh, Christian Alexander and Olivia Crocicchia.

Filmed in the summer of 2012 in Cape Elizabeth, Maine,Backgammon premiered at the Sarasota Film Festival on April 17, 2015. In that same year it was also an official selection of both the Denver Film Festival and the St. Louis International Film Festival.
