Baccalà alla vicentina (Italian pronunciation: [bakkaˈla alla vitʃenˈtiːna]) is a Venetian-Italian dish native to Vicenza that is made from stoccafisso (in English, ), an air-dried fish, not salted cod. For a fish plate (a fish that is seasoned for months) it maybe looks and tastes strange that it is sweet without any sugar addiction. But it's probably the milk (which has a lot of sugars inside, though not being sweet until cooked) who gives the plate its characteristic taste.
