The BET Awards for Best R&B/Pop Artist is split between the overall best male and female contemporary R&B and soul singers who have released an album the previous or same year. As of 2016, Beyoncé has won the most BET Awards for Best Female R&B Artist with seven wins. Also as of 2016, Chris Brown has won the most BET Awards for Best Male R&B Artist with four wins.
