Avenida Cidade de Lisboa is an avenue west of the center of Praia, Santiago island, Cape Verde, it runs wholly in the neighborhood of Várzea and is also the neighborhood's longest running street or arterial. It is one of the major streets of the city it forms as an arterial linking EN1-ST01, EN1-ST03 and EN1-ST06 and sometimes is being the second branch of the EN1-ST03. The street is named for Praia's twinning with the city of Lisbon, Portugal which has a large Capeverdean population there and descendants from Praia mostly live there. It runs south to north west of the plateau, once two lane, it has a road island and is four lanes. It is more than a kilometer long being nearly 1.33 km. Address numbers are ordered northward. The main traffic flow with south of the city and Cidade Velha and the rest of the island and the east of the city flows through the avenue and serves as the bypass of the city center between the city's south and the city's north (i.e. Vila Nova, Calabaceira and Achada de São Filipe).

The avenue begins at Rotunda da Várzea do Sul which intersects Avenidas de Cuba and de China. There are four circles, the other three intersects with Rua da Várzea, Rua de Sucupira and Rampa Gustavo de Fonseca and with Avenida Caixa Económica. Other intersections include Antiga Caminho de Cidade Velha and the Praia-Tarrafal Route (alternate branch of the EN1-ST03). West of the avenue is the headquarters of the Capeverdean government, the National Assembly building or the Government Palace. East is Caixa Económica's second building and east of it Cape Verde's tallest towers, 12 stories tall. Next is the headquarters of the Cape Verdean Football Federation and north is Estádio da Várzea where notable football (soccer) clubs play including Sporting, Boavista, Travadores and Académica play, north of the stadium and Rua da Várzea is the recently constructed National Auditorium of Cape Verde and is addresses to Rua da Várzea. West of the avenue is the Várzea-Craveiro Lopes branch of Ecobank built in 2012, two other banks one of them Interatlântico are located.
