The Avatar: The Last Airbender comics are a continuation of the original Nickelodeon animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. There is also a continuation of The Legend of Korra in comic form.
The Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Lost Adventures graphic novel collected long-out-of-print, fan-favorite comics previously published in Nickelodeon Magazine and with the Avatar: The Last Airbender DVD collections, in addition to brand-new comics pages. Published on June 15, 2011, it was an anthology that included twenty-eight stories by various writers and artists, many of whom worked on the original animated series.
A series of graphic novels trilogies written by Gene Yang and published by Dark Horse Comics that serve as a continuation of the Avatar: The Last Airbender television series.
Since 2013, there has been a short comic of Avatar: The Last Airbender in most of Dark Horse's Free Comic Book Day comics.
Material from the original graphic novels is collected in an oversized library edition featuring notes from the creators and a sketchbook section.
Zuko's Story is a short comic that serves as a prequel to the heavily criticized 2010 film, The Last Airbender.
